The World Xiangqi Federation is the international governing body for the game. It publishes the rules of play used in international competition — including the repetition laws this site's engine implements — and organises the World Xiangqi Championship and associated events.
Why the WXF rules matter here
Because repetition adjudication is where rule codes diverge, and a site that claims to state the rules has to say which rules — and how far its own implementation has got. Ours states the WXF laws and enforces both repetition rulings; the chase half is not yet validated against the official casebook.

The federation also standardised the romanised notation — K, A, E, H, R, C, P with +, − and = — which is what makes it possible to write xiangqi moves without Chinese characters.
